Smagiausia šio mėnesio naujiena - žinia apie tai, kad visai šalia mano gimto miesto Kretingos (tiksliau, Mažučių kaime) kuriamas didžiulis japoniškas sodas-parkas - suprojektuotas japonų, bus statomas taip pat japonų. 16 ha plotas bus apsodintas, įrengti takeliai, japoniškos vonios, baseinai ir t.t. Websaitas rašo, kad kažkokiu būdu ten bus panaudota per 20'000 tonų (sic!) akmenų - kurių šiame krašte tikrai netrūksta (keletas žemaičių jau yra bandę sutempti visus regiono akmenis į savo sodybą - kaip antai Orvydas, arba į muziejų - Mosėdyje).

The most interesting local news for me is this blog post about the biggest European Japanese garden being built next to my native town, in the Samogitia (Žemaitija) region, since ancient times covered in mist and mystyque.
The blog is run by a friend of mine and there are other interesting posts about Lithuanian things weird and esoteric... So keep an eye on it.
