Padėk Gruzijos žmonėms

Dabar gali padėti Gruzijos žmonėms tiesiogiai - spausk ir paaukok, bent keleto bokalų ar kavos puodelių vertės sumą. Ši fundable akcija, iš kurios surinktos lėšos bus panaudotos nupirkti maisto ir būtiniausių reikmenų laikinoje prieglaudoje gyvenantiems pabėgėliams, inicijuota mūsų pažįstamo Tbilisio gyventojo David Kvaratskhelia, kuro interviu netrukus pasirodys ore.lt.

Kol nepasirodė, interviu galima paskaityt čia.

Sonic Control and Georgia

"In [William] Burroughs’s Electronic Revolution, methods of sonic control (part of the famous cut/up techniques) are examined and portrayed as a subversive means of applying revolutionary change to a given and already controlled reality.

By recording, editing, and playing back on location, one can transform exist-ing sonic architecture into their own psychoacoustic arena, or in Burroughs’ language, one can “discommode or destroy” locations with control methods."
- Idan Hayosh, About Strategies of Sonic Control and Inter Reaction (PDF link)

Georgia Today

That was beginning of the century. Today, we see a slightly different kind of sonic control. Both BB and Wired report that the Saakashvili regime in Georgia is using them to crush protestors. Here's footage from Russia Today - Russian state-owned propaganda channel - yet this doesn't diminish the chilling impression. Some interesting comments regarding US' part in providing this modern technology.
