That was beginning of the century. Today, we see a slightly different kind of sonic control. Both BB and Wired report that the Saakashvili regime in Georgia is using them to crush protestors. Here's footage from Russia Today - Russian state-owned propaganda channel - yet this doesn't diminish the chilling impression. Some interesting comments regarding US' part in providing this modern technology.
